Days Until Our Wedding!

Colin and I both attended UMBC for graphic design. We were taking our last two design classes in the Fall of 2007. We had Graphic Design 6 in the mornings and Graphic Design 7 in the afternoons. We didn't know each other and barely talked until some time in October. I asked to borrow Colin's t-square one day before class (partially to talk to him and partially to finish my project). From that point on, we started talking in class and chatting online. As fate would have it, my little white Hyundai Accent broke down at my friend's place and Colin became my knight in shining armor. Once I got home that night, I texted Colin feverishly to see if he would mind helping me out the next day by picking me up and bringing me to school. Colin being the sweet guy he is said of course, and the entire next day was spent being together. From there, we spent the next day in class, working on our projects while listening to music on my iTunes, where I had various 80's songs (of course) and the song "Hold on Loosely" by '.38 Special' came on the mix, no big deal but that song followed us that day.

Not only did Colin pick me and bring me to school, he also brought me to the mechanics during our break to drop off my keys, then back to school for our later class, and finally back to the mechanics to pick up my car. I couldn't believe how nice he was to spend his entire day driving me around (From Colin: that's because I liked her!). On the drive to get my car we discussed how we were hungry and decided to get dinner. I drove my car back to my apartment, hopped in his car and headed to Arundel Mills to get food. While in the car we heard "Hold on Loosely" for the second time that day on the radio. We ended up at Chili's and spent a good hour or so there before heading out, but not without hearing "Hold on Loosely" again on the radio in the restaurant. By this point we both noticed and were like wow that is strange how we have heard this old, not real popular song three times in one day in different places.

As we walked through the mall to go back to Colin's car, I swore his hand brushed against mine a few times as if he wanted to hold it but nothing happened. We drove back to my apartment and as I was about to get out of his car I told him how thankful I was for all of his help and how nice it was of him and gave him a hug. According to Colin, I held that hug a little too long and he knew I was into him and he went in for the kiss... and the rest is history as they say. And needless to say "Hold on Loosely" is our song (but not quite the right speed for our first dance sadly).

Her

Jena is the oldest of four children and from Long Island, NY. Her favorite color is purple, (if you couldn't guess) she loves broadway, football, traveling, the 80's, and dark chocolate. She has a tendency to be a teenybopper still, especially when her two favorite boy bands come around, the New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys. A little fun fact is that Jena loves dessert, but hates cheesecake!

Him

Colin is the youngest of two children and is from Maryland. He loves video games, cooking (especially for Jena), the Baltimore Ravens, the Florida Gators, and anything having to do with European history. A little fun fact is that when Colin was growing up their house was always filled with reptiles and amphibians of all sorts from snakes, to frogs, lizards, and even newts named after English kings (Charles, Edward, etc).
